Job Summary: Data Engineer II - Amazon Contract, Dallas TX
About the RoleJoin Amazon's AWS Field Experience (AFX), Revenue Lifecycle Automation and Intelligence (RAIn) team as a Data Engineer II. Work onsite in Dallas on a 6-month contract (relocation welcome) and help design and deliver scalable, innovative data solutions that directly empower Amazon's field teams. This is a unique opportunity to work in one of the world's largest data warehouse environments, leveraging your expertise to solve complex business challenges and drive impactful results. Candidates with prior Amazon experience are highly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines and large-scale data structures for business intelligence and analytics.
- Develop and support analytic technologies that enable timely, flexible, and structured data access for business customers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable data solutions.
- Model metadata, create dashboards, and generate reports using in-house and Quick Suite tools.
- Ensure data quality and reliability through automation and best practices.
- Drive results by taking ownership of projects from conception to deployment. Required Skills and Experience - 3+ years of data engineering experience in complex environments.
- Advanced SQL proficiency for data analysis and manipulation.
- High-level Python skills for orchestration, automation, and pipeline development.
- Proven experience in designing, building, and operating ETL pipelines and large-scale data structures.
- Strong background in data modeling and data warehousing. Preferred Skills - Hands-on experience with AWS stack (Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Firehose, Lambda, IAM).
- Familiarity with non-relational databases or data stores (object, document, key-value, graph, column-family).
