Electrician

Use developed skill and knowledge of electrical codes and engineering design requirements to assemble connect and test electrical systems and machines used in industry. Major Accountabilities: Ensures that a wide range of components for automated equipment and controls are properly assembled, wired and installed in a timely manner. Fully analyzes all required drawings and blueprints to meet accomplished objectives. Operates/Utilizes tools of the trade which assist him/her to be productive in meeting the department objectives. Further ensures that tools of the trade are accurately being utilized and operated by others with less knowledge and skill. (i.e., threaders, benders, N.E.C., test meters, calibration equipment, hand tools, power tools) Provides leadership on all levels of projects and installations. Direct and train less skilled workers and apprentices to assist in the assembly and installation of project work. Takes the lead in recommending, establishing and following verbal and written instructions to accurately accomplish department work assignments. Takes the lead in establishing and following department procedures and process flow. Cross train [mechanical assembly] within department to build skills which builds flexibility into the group. Safely completes assigned tasks in an efficient manner using proper tools, methods and safety equipment. Ensures that all assigned work areas are clean and organized. Openly participates in the planning process of team related tasks, when appropriate. All other duties as properly assigned. Working Conditions: Working environment is generally favorable with adequate lighting and temperature.Conditions of customer sites may vary from excellent to very poor. Walking, standing, reaching, lifting up to fifty (50) pounds. 10 - 20% travel required. Must wear personal protective equipment as required. Electrical Contractor’s license, UL Certified.Associates degree and or Journeymen’s certificate desired. Minimum Years of Experience Required: Ten (10) years’ experience in a manufacturing or similar environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
