The Impact You Will Make This position is accountable for serving as the EHS point of contact for potential new product introductions, and as SME for supporting operations at a CDMO site. This includes: ProvidingEHSexpertiseand inputs in support of bench-scale process development,high potent chemical banding alignment, JHA, and best safety practices at an operational pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Servingas an EH&S liaison with operations during safety pre-start up,surrogate testing/line simulations, PPE, Safety Committee, and safety audits. Supporting implementation and continuous improvement efforts. Orchestrating relevantincident investigations andrisk management. Role Responsibilities Analyze existing and potential new products, processes, equipment, facilities, and programs; develop and implement proactive EHS strategies to minimize injury, illness, property loss, impact on the environment, and business. Identifyand evaluate environmental, health and safety hazards as part of standard process, procedure,product,and operational review practices. Assess the probability and potential impact of identified risks, and develop and proposefeasible, cost-effective EHS risk mitigation solutions. Provide timelyconsultation and active support asrequiredfor EHS issues relating to implementation of new business. Develop, implement, and administer industrial hygiene programsto proactivelyidentify, evaluate, and control workplace hazards. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensureunderstanding of their operational and product support needs, connect with EHS and sustainability requirements, alignappropriate plansand execute actions to support the requirements. Conduct appropriate environmental, health & safety assessments on operational activity, assess compliance with applicable governmental EHS regulations, policies, and guidelines, and recommend and support implementation of actions to reduce corporate vulnerability and assuring compliance and preventing business interruption. Maintain a thorough understanding and working knowledge of existing and proposed changes in federal and state industrial hygiene, safety,and environmental regulations, which affect operations. Participate in regulatory inspections and inquiries involving environmental, healthand safety issues. Act as a EHSconsultant/ technical expert during resolution of any proposed corrective actions. Successfully complete training requiredto perform job assignments and seek outadditionaltraining opportunities to enhance skills and abilities for program compliance and improvements. Basic Qualifications Bachelor Degreeina relevantdiscipline oran equivalentcombination of education, training, and relevant work experience. 5+ years of progressive work experience and proven initiatives in occupational safety, environmental, and industrial hygienein a pharmaceutical or CDMO environment. Knowledge in current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) Willing to continue EHS development as necessary, learn new skillsand assist in creating a world-class environment.
