HVAC Foreman

Position Summary: The Mechanical Foreman will participate and oversee the installation or maintenance and inspection of HVAC, Utility and Process piping systems including Sub-Contractors.Role and Responsibilities:Act as a team leader in the execution of larger scale mechanical projects with the objective of constructing a best-in-class productEnsure field installation compliance with technical specifications, approved shop drawings and submittalsPerform layout and develop isometric drawings for piping systemsLocate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes or fixtures in structures using measuring instruments such as rules or levelsTest pipe and fixtures for leaks using various methodsAssemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittingsDetect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisorsAdditional duties as directed by job site project manager and supervisorSupervise and participate in the installations of: Heating Hot Water, Chilled Water Stream, Condensate, Compressed Air, Process Fluids, Chemical, Fuel Oil, Gasses, and other related systemsMeasure, cut, thread or bend pipe to required angle using hand or power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, or pipe-bending machinesPerform proper fit-up of pipe, fittings and flanges for open root butt welding and socket weldingInstall pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances, or fixtures using hand or power toolsEssential Skills & Characteristics:Ability to work independently and manage a team of pipefitters, plumbers, welders, and apprenticesAbility to plan work accordingly and work with procurement to ensure materials are on site as neededInteract with coworkers in an attentive, courteous mannerMust maintain strict adherence to safety rules and qualityDirect helpers or apprentices in appropriate tasksAssist with coordination and scheduled shutdowns as required to support any associated on-site operational requirementsCoordinate field trade activities in accordance with the project schedule and help with developing the three-week look ahead coordination schedules with all appropriate Project Team ParticipantsEstablish work completion and punch lists in accordance with established Quality Control and Quality Assurance ProgramsRead and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, plans or specification to determine work details or proceduresEnsure proper site housekeeping is always maintainedMaintain good documentation and record keepingEducational & Experience Requirements:High School Diploma or relevant work experience10 years of field experienceApplicable State Trade LicenseKnowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)OSHA 30 CertificationUnderstanding and development of daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in industrial construction preferredAZ Corporation is an employee owned, tobacco-free, equal opportunity employer, we do not discriminate based on marital status, race, color, creed, gender, sex, religion, national origin, gender identity, age, veteran status, union affiliation, physical or mental disability, citizenship status, sexual orientation, genetic information, or other legally protected status #J-18808-Ljbffr A/Z Corp
