divh2Assistant Network Administrator/h2pThe job of Assistant Network Administrator is to ensure the stable operation of the Casa Grande Elementary School District 4 network infrastructure. This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links. This position will also ensure the stability and integrity of voice, data, video, security and wireless network services./ppThis job reports to the Network Administrator./ppEssential Functions:/pulliAttends meetings as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions./liliReceives, prioritizes, and responds to incoming work orders, telephone calls, and/or emails regarding equipment and/or connectivity problems./liliDefines and controls access privileges, roles, and group membership of the user community for the purpose of controlling and monitoring security of district information systems./liliDevelops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, cyber security incident response, and disaster recovery./liliConducts testing and development of cyber security incident response plans and disaster recovery plans to detect faults, minimize malfunctions and backup systems as it relates to network functionality./liliProvides escalation support to other department staff in relation to complicated desktop, network, telephony, or software application issues, for the purpose of providing efficient problem resolution./liliProvides support of network systems and infrastructure, (e.g. cabling, electronics/hardware, backup/restore functionality, software applications, and resolutions of network operational issues) for the purpose of maximizing availability of network systems./liliCreates and maintains documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, network operational processes, and service records./liliMonitors network performance and troubleshoots problem areas as needed to identify and remedy network performance bottlenecks./liliEnsure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, printing and copy machines, and other network appliances./liliPerforms on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex network problems for a variety of end users, and recommends and implements corrective solutions./liliManages planning and maintenance of network cabling, including MDF and IDF closets. Participates in managing all network security solutions./li/ulpOther Functions:/ppAssists other personnel for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work. Performs related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position./ppJob Requirements:/ppMinimum Qualifications: Skills, Knowledge and Abilities/ppSkills are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to periodically upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: preparing and maintaining accurate records; planning and managing projects; operating standard office equipment; and utilizing pertinent software applications./ppKnowledge is required to perform algebra and/or geometry; review and interpret highly technical information, write technical materials, and/or speak persuasively to implement desired actions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes: Proven experience and success with enterprise-level LAN, WAN, and WLAN engineering, design, and implementation. Proven ability to engineer routers, switches, and access points. Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices. Excellent technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards. Strong knowledge of network management and analysis tools. Working technical knowledge of VoIP telephony. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws./ppKnowledge, understanding and ability to create and maintain thorough technical documentation/ppAbility is required to schedule a number of activities, meetings, and/or events; routinely gather, collate, and/or classify data; and consider a variety of factors when using equipment. Generally the job requires 25% sitting, 25% walking, and 50% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and a generally hazard free environment.
