Sr. Project ManagerWith a culture of recognition and reputation for excellence, ELS is the ideal organization in which to develop a long and successful career!ELS is hiring for the position of Sr. Project Manager in Chicago, Illinois.Financial Systems AnalystThe Financial Systems Analyst serves as the functional owner and subject matter expert (SME) for the company's procure-to-pay and accounts payable systems, with primary responsibility for administering and optimizing the Bottomline Payables platform and its integrations. This role bridges Finance, Operations, Accounting, and IT to ensure systems are configured to support efficient, compliant, and scalable financial processes. This position is a hands-on systems role responsible for system configuration, workflow design, user enablement, system upgrade testing, and issue resolution, with additional responsibility for supporting related financial systems (e.g., MRI).Key ResponsibilitiesSystems Administration & OwnershipServe as the primary administrator and functional SME for Bottomline Payables and related financial systems.Configure and maintain system components including:User roles and permissionsWorkflow rules and approval hierarchiesEntity, account, and organizational structure dataManage system performance, data integrity, and ongoing system health.Workflow & Process OptimizationPartner with Accounting, Operations, Audit, and leadership to design and optimize end-to-end procure-to-pay workflows.Translate business requirements into system configurations that improve:Invoice processing efficiencyPurchase order complianceInternal controls and audit readinessIdentify and remediate gaps in processes, reporting, and control structures.Systems Integration & Technical CoordinationManage and support third-party integrations between Bottomline and other financial systems.Collaborate with technical teams and vendors to troubleshoot integration issues and ensure data flow accuracy.Support system upgrade planning, testing, and post-deployment validation across integrated platforms.Enhancements, Testing & ReleasesLead evaluation, testing, and implementation of system enhancements and upgrades.Develop and execute:Test plans and scriptsUser acceptance testing (UAT)Release validation and documentationEnsure updates are properly communicated and adopted by end users.User Support & TrainingProvide tier-2 system support and act as an escalation point for complex issues.Respond to user inquiries and resolve system-related problems in a timely and service-oriented manner.Develop and deliver training materials, best practices, and documentation to enable effective system use.Reporting & ControlsDevelop and maintain system-based reports and data outputs to support Finance and Operations.Ensure systems are aligned with internal control requirements and audit standards.Support policy enforcement through system configuration and workflow design.Documentation & GovernanceCreate and maintain system documentation including:Configuration guidesProcess mapsSOPs and checklistsMaintain knowledge of system capabilities and updates through vendor training and release notes.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Information Systems1-4 years of experience in:Financial systems administrationERP/AP systems supportBusiness analysis within a financial systems environmentSystems administration or business analysis experienceExperience with Bottomline or other accounts payable systemsStrong understanding of procure-to-pay processes and internal controlsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to:Configure workflows and system rulesTroubleshoot system issuesTranslate business needs into system solutionsPreferredExperience with MRI or other real estate financial systemsExperience managing system integrations or working with APIs/data feedsFamiliarity with system testing and release management processesSuccess ProfileTake ownership of the system as a functional administrator, not just a support resourceProactively identify improvements and drive efficiency through system designBe comfortable operating at the intersection of Finance + Systems + ProcessServe as a trusted partner to Finance and Operations leadershipIn return for your excellent skills and abilities, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, and vision plans, a generous 401(k) employer match, and paid vacations, holidays, and sick time.Estimated compensation for this position in the states of BC, CA, CO, IL, MA, MD, MN, NJ, NY, VT and WA is:Annual Salary: $70,000.00 - $77,000.00The salary listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. A salary offer will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to the base pay and our benefits, some positions are eligible for bonuses, sales commissions, or incentive pay.
