Design Responsibilities The position provides instruction in Agriculture and Environmental Systems to support the College’s teaching‑mission. Responsibilities include: Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and graduate instruction (face‑to‑face and/or online as appropriate). Develop and deliver course materials, assessments, and hands‑on learning experiences aligned with program goals. Engage in service to the department and college as appropriate within a 9‑month teaching appointment. Minimum Requirements Ph.D. in Agronomy, Crop Science, Environmental Science, Soil Science, or a closely related discipline. Evidence of effective teaching or strong potential for excellence in undergraduate and graduate instruction. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and effectively. Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education One or more years of university‑level teaching experience, including laboratory or field‑based instruction. Experience developing or revising curricula, course materials, or instructional innovations. Demonstrated commitment to active learning, experiential education, and student‑centered pedagogy. Experience working with diverse student populations and supporting inclusive teaching practices. Familiarity with agricultural production systems, environmental monitoring, or applied fieldwork.
