Updated: July 7, 2026 Location: Miami, FL, United States Job ID: 14932 Medical Science Liaison – field-based medical and scientific expert engaging in peer‑to‑peer scientific dialogue with healthcare professionals and serving as a therapeutic expert in ophthalmology. Responsibilities Engage in scientific dialogue with healthcare professionals, translating conversations into meaningful insights. Establish, cultivate, and maintain scientific relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals. Plan and execute medical strategy and engagement for assigned customers. Communicate clinical and scientific data to KOLs and healthcare professionals through presentations, educational programs, and scientific discussions. Serve as the primary resource to address unsolicited medical questions and other scientific exchange matters. Identify, gather, and document field‑generated scientific insights to drive innovative Medical Affairs strategies in compliance with industry and corporate policies. Maintain scientific and clinical knowledge through continuous learning and awareness of related scientific literature. Collaborate with field‑based Medical colleagues, Commercial colleagues, and the broader organization to provide scientific expertise and share Medical insights for internal and external activities. Requirements Advanced degree in life sciences (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, NP, PA, OD or equivalent). 3+ years of prior Medical Science Liaison experience (eye care experience highly preferred). Deep scientific knowledge and genuine passion for ophthalmology. Prior experience with payer presentations is a plus. Ability to interpret and communicate complex clinical and scientific data. Strong presentation, communication, and collaboration skills. Willingness to travel 60–80% within the assigned territory. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel by car and air.
