Staff Software Engineer, Metabolic Health

Work with Executive Engineers, cross-functional peers, and leadership to craft a roadmap and technical deliverables for the agentic experience in the Google Health app related to Metabolic Health, Nutrition, GLP-1, and chronic disease management as it pertains to nutrition.Scope out, estimate, and architect high-level features and agentic workflows that help users create and achieve their nutrition, weight, and metabolic health goals in the Google Health app. Design infrastructure to accelerate hill-climbing and evaluations, and develop clinical-grade AutoRaters.Mentor and lead other software engineers, helping safeguard and bring up the quality of the team.Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin or Go.5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.3 years of experience with software design and architecture.Experience with agentic development.Preferred qualifications:Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.Experience launching and iterating on agentic features on a consumer product.Familiarity with data analysis and research techniques.Passion for the health space.Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another.
