Senior Technical Writer / Communications Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer / Communications Specialist to support federal clients by developing high‑quality technical documentation, forms, training materials, and executive communications. Position Responsibilities The selected candidate will: Develop, edit, and maintain technical documentation, reports, manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, guidance documents, and executive briefings. Translate complex technical and regulatory information into plain language suitable for multiple audiences. Design, edit, and maintain fillable PDF forms using Adobe Acrobat Pro. Ensure all documentation complies with Section 508 accessibility requirements and WCAG standards. Create and maintain documentation supporting Federal programs, policies, and compliance initiatives. Research regulations, policies, and technical requirements to ensure document accuracy. Develop training materials, user guides, presentations, and curriculum supporting organizational initiatives. Coordinate document reviews and manage revisions using Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Office applications. Support digital signature workflows using Adobe Sign and DocuSign. Maintain consistency with Federal publishing standards, style guides, and organizational branding. Collaborate with subject matter experts, program managers, and stakeholders throughout the document lifecycle. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Business, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 7 years of technical writing and editing experience supporting Federal agencies or other highly regulated industries. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Expert knowledge of grammar, syntax, editing, and Plain Language principles. Advanced proficiency with: Adobe Acrobat Pro Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Microsoft PowerPoint Microsoft Outlook Microsoft SharePoint Experience creating accessible fillable PDF forms with Adobe Acrobat Pro. Strong understanding of Section 508 and WCAG accessibility requirements. Strong analytical and research skills. Experience producing regulatory, policy, compliance, or technical documentation. Experience developing training materials and curriculum. Familiarity with Federal publishing standards. Experience with Adobe Sign, DocuSign, or similar digital signature technologies. Previous experience designing or managing organizational forms. Preferred Qualifications Certified Professional Technical Communicator (CPTC) or equivalent Technical Communication certification. Experience supporting Federal digital transformation initiatives. Experience working with executive leadership and cross‑functional teams.
