About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Core Curriculum Solutions to lead a transformative initiative in the creation of standards-aligned educational content. This role is pivotal in reimagining the core curriculum and content production processes, with a focus on integrating modern, AI-augmented technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for pioneering the core curriculum strategy, redesigning the development process, and leading the integration of AI into all phases of curriculum production. This includes defining the curriculum architecture, setting the instructional vision, and ensuring the coherence, standards alignment, and pedagogical integrity of the K-12 core products. The VP will also be tasked with orchestrating a high-performance team and vendor ecosystem, shifting the company's vendor model to strategic co-production, and actively collaborating across functions to drive the company's educational vision. Candidates for this role at the company should have a deep expertise in K-12 core curriculum and instructional design, with a proven track record of managing large, distributed vendor relationships. The role requires a systems thinker with exceptional project management skills, a leader who can drive change and has executive presence with the ability to influence cross-functionally. The ideal candidate will have a background in education, curriculum and instruction, or educational technology, and a strong understanding of the edtech market. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's or PhD preferred, and demonstrable experience in integrating AI into content development workflows. The VP will be the internal expert on AI tools and trends in education, and must be capable of bringing a team through a genuine transformation.
