Systems Administrator III

Job TitleCandidates MUST be WI residents or willing to relocate to WI at their own expense prior to starting. This position can work 100% remotely (within the state of WI).Under the general supervision of the IT Solutions Center (ITSC) Supervisor this position is responsible for assisting Infrastructure Team Lead with the technical and business analysis for infrastructure services utilized by ETF including network and server hardware, software, and services. This responsibility includes working with BITS managers and other team leaders in ETF and DET to provide consistent, coordinated services, and ensuring high quality services for all functions provided by the infrastructure team.This position supports the coordination of service provisioning and infrastructure hosting from DET, working under the guidance of the Infrastructure Team Lead to ensure ETF adheres to infrastructure best practices and procedures. Responsibilities include security consultation and administration, ensuring compliance with security policies and best practices, identifying and mitigating risks, and implementing security measures to protect infrastructure services. Additionally, the role involves technical troubleshooting to resolve system issues, collaborating with project and business teams across the agency, and aligning business needs with IT systems, technical solutions, upgrades, and infrastructure changes.This position delivers customer service and consulting support across a wide range of technical services, actively participating in projects from inception to completion. The incumbent will assist in recommending configurations for hybrid-cloud hosted virtualized servers, security content filters, and network systems. Responsibilities also include managing and configuring ManageEngine Endpoint Central design and coordination for application deployment, Windows desktop gold images, desktop applications, and the Office 365 Suite of productivity tools. Success in this role requires an enterprise-wide perspective and collaboration with DET, infrastructure providers, SaaS vendors, ETF technical staff, BITS management, and business stakeholders on technical design and business challenges.Required Skills and ExperienceKnowledge managing and supporting IAM and Directory services in a hybrid-cloud environment. Products and services such as: Microsoft Entra-ID, Microsoft Active Directory, OKTA, Kerberos, LDAP, DFS, Certificate Services, Replication and Synchronization of LDAP directories. (8 years)Knowledge of Group Policy, Endpoint Security, Virtual Server Snapshots, Trust relationships, Active Directory sites and services. (8 years)Experience in security and vulnerability management, utilizing advanced knowledge of hybrid-cloud security measures to mitigate risks effectively. (5 Years)Experience in desktop image creation, maintenance, and software packaging and deployment using ManageEngine Endpoint Central. (5 years)Proficient in automation scripting to enhance productivity and efficiency in hybrid-cloud Windows and O365 environments. Expertise in PowerShell and Graph API, with additional experience in Python and Bash a plus. Samprasoft
