Job Details Job Location: Twenty Nine Palms Enterprises - Coachella, CA 92236Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $18.50 - $18.50 HourlyJob Shift: AnyJob Category: Accounting SUMMARY This position is responsible for assisting the Cage Shift Management Team in balancing the Casino Cage by consolidating all cash and cash equivalents, while also serving as the repository for gaming chips, casino currency, and coins. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement. Deliver our Five Star Experience to Guests and all Team Members by embodying our Mission Statement and Service Promise while adhering to department service standards. This entails consistency performing our service expectations of: Welcoming, Proactive, Seamless, Personalized and Valued. Maintain all Cage and Casino assets in the Main Bank room located within the Cage area. Responsible for accounting for assets using the Main Bank Accountability and Inventory sheets and ensuring they are balanced at the end of each shift. Accurately completes the Inventory section sheet by recording chips, cash, checks, total impress window figures, and all casino banks issued, while the Accountability section tracks items that increase or decrease the main bank inventory. Must be able to operate a 10-key calculator. Maintain security and accountability to company funds located in the cage during a shift. Assist employees with monetary transactions. Receive Slot Machine currency drop. Receive Table Games chip and currency drop. Verify/replenish currency for ATR cassettes Receive miscellaneous casino revenues. Prepare daily bank deposit. Replenish all cage windows to the imprest amount. Receive all slot tickets cashed during the shift. Receive all checks cashed during the shift. All required documents must be filled out completely with legible print. Communicate with all departments as needed using professionalism. Solely responsible and accountable for main bank inventory during their shift. Must process all transactions accurately and maintain variances to an absolute minimum. Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS). Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required. Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment. Provides overrides to Cashiers for required transactions. Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist management in supervising Cage Team Members both directly and indirectly, while ensuring adherence to the Tribal organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (MUST BE DOCUMENTED): Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Six months banking, cashiering and/or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CERTIFICATION, LICENSES AND ANY ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Must pass periodic random drug screens. Must be able to pass background suitability investigation. Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License. Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses. Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment. Employee may be occasionally required to work in low light conditions, and may be exposed to loud noise for extended periods. WORK ENVIRONMENT Multiple locations. Some enterprises are open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week; therefore, you must be flexible to work any and all hours. Must be available for emergency calls 24/7. Must be available to work weekend and holidays. Some enterprises are gaming facilities. Some enterprises are not a smoke-free environment. Surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises recording activity throughout most of the facilities on 24 hours per day, 7 days per week basis. INDIAN PREFERENCE ACT 1.
