Senior Product Manager

Position Summary This role serves as the Product Manager for the Xcel Vision Suite (XVS), Xcel Energy’s integrated planning platform that connects shared data, orchestration, and tools to enable coordinated planning across generation, transmission, distribution, and gas. The Senior Product Manager owns product direction and requirements across this multi-domain planning ecosystem, focusing on utility planning workflows, extracting requirements, and shaping them into prioritized product capabilities. Primary Responsibilities Relationship Management: Partner with business areas, customers, and other stakeholders to understand needs and opportunities; establish collaborative partnerships with internal partners; coach and direct less experienced team members. Solution Delivery: Lead end-to-end solution lifecycle from strategic planning, through demand management, delivery lifecycle activities, to operation, ensuring great user experience, operational performance, speed to deployment, and continuous delivery. Strategy & Planning: Lead efforts to understand operational health, customer satisfaction, and total cost of operation; build awareness of opportunities and risks; represent business partners in strategic planning and investment prioritization. Operations Management: Align with stakeholders on maintenance activities and schedules; ensure delivery practices uphold continuous integration of operational functions; provide escalated support as needed. Subject-Matter Expertise: Stay abreast of industry and technology trends to continuously improve solution delivery practices and customer satisfaction. Minimum Requirements – Senior Product Manager 10 years of related functional experience or bachelor’s degree in technology, science, business or related field plus equivalent experience. Excellent communication, relationship management, and collaboration skills; experience with project or product delivery practices including SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall; ability to recommend innovative solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement through lean, agile, six sigma. In-depth knowledge of end-to-end processes, system capabilities, industry standards, and emerging technologies. Experience with strategic planning, demand management, execution, and operation of IT solutions; contract and vendor management. Minimum Requirements – Product Manager 7 years of related functional experience or bachelor’s degree in technology, science, business or related field plus equivalent experience. Experience with project or product delivery practices including SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall; ability to recommend innovative solutions; drive continuous improvement through lean and agile practices. In-depth knowledge of end-to-end processes; strong technical, functional, and operational understanding. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; communication and relationship management skills. Preferred Requirements Experience in utility planning, utility modeling, or utility planning technology with exposure to regulated environment planning domains. Familiarity with utility planning and modeling ecosystems such as EnCompass, PROMOD, PSS-E, Synergi Gas, CYME, or similar. Ability to elicit, synthesize, and reconcile requirements from diverse subject-matter experts. Experience defining and managing MVPs and product roadmaps for complex, technical products including data platforms and analytics-driven applications. Experience evaluating vendor tools and market offerings; working with consulting or system integration teams on scope definition and handoff.
