Traveling Wet Batch Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Wet Batch Driver who can drive a 10 speed manual. This role is responsible for operating a ready‑mix concrete truck, delivering concrete to various job sites, and ensuring timely, accurate, and quality pours. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced construction environment while maintaining excellent customer service with crews and contractors. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a dump truck to reduce risk and liabilities. Ensure load weight complies with State and Federal regulations. Perform and properly document pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the truck and trailer. Maintain accurate records of trip details, including mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance reports, and hours worked. Communicate effectively with project managers, equipment operators, and other team members to coordinate material transport and delivery schedules. Adhere to Emery Sapp & Sons safety policies and procedures. Perform basic maintenance on the truck when necessary. Travel extensively as required. Accurately navigate using instructions, maps, or GPS to a wide variety of locations. Properly wear and safely use PPE. Record hours worked using an ELD in compliance with Hours of Service regulations. Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Class B or A CDL. Valid DOT Medical Certificate with Non‑Excepted Interstate self‑certification. Minimum of 3 years of experience operating dump trucks (preferred). Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and best practices for materials handling. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Basic mechanical skills for minor truck maintenance. Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to read, understand, and navigate using paper and/or digital maps. Ability to sit for long periods of time.
