About the Position
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, tech-savvy Technician or Lead Technician for our Potomac-based branch ( serving MoCo, NOVA, DC, and broader metro DC area ). The successful applicant is service-oriented and client-focused, with strong communication skills, proficient at installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage integrated system equipment, devices, and components.

What You'll Do

• Install, configure, service, and troubleshoot integrated AV, networking, lighting, shading, security cameras and devices, control, and other automation systems
• Interpret project blueprints and system schematics to execute installations accurately
• Create and maintain thorough project documentation and records, from client design and installation to ongoing support
• Interface with clients, designers, builders, and architects
• Maintain remote access, monitoring, and service protocols for deployed systems; proactively support client systems for reliability and serviceability 
• Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices 
• Mentor and lead junior technicians as needed
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in excellent condition
• Deliver service that meets Daisy’s standards for quality, reliability, safety, and professionalism

What You Bring to the Team

• Strong experience with AV, networking/Wi-Fi, lighting, shading, and smart home technologies 
• Mastery of basic wiring/cabling for low-voltage integrated systems (including panels, and junction boxes); electrician’s license preferred
• Ability to perform system configuration, calibration, programming, testing, and troubleshooting
• Experience with Control4 systems; Savant, Crestron, Josh a plus 
• Experience with Lutron products and installation
• Industry certifications (CEDIA, AVIXA, manufacturer certifications, etc.) preferred
• Strong client-facing communication skills: able to explain technical details and deliver client training
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Motivated to learn new skills and to grow in responsibility and position
• Physically capable of lifting, kneeling, and climbing
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
• Must pass a background check and drug screening

$35-$55/hr
The position will begin part-time, with the opportunity to transition to full-time
