At ViaBot, we pride ourselves in being the first autonomous property management solution for commercial properties. We are looking to bring onto our team a Autonomous Fleet Operator who works (7pm - 3am ) 5 days a week. Our ideal team member enjoys solving problems, can stay calm under pressure, and is comfortable multitasking while monitoring multiple autonomous robots. This role is ideal for someone interested in robotics, operations, or engineering who wants hands-on experience troubleshooting real-world autonomous systems. Training is provided, and there is room for growth within the operations team.  

No prior robotics experience is required. We provide paid training on robot operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance. 

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and remotely operate ViaBot's fleet of autonomous cleaning robots
• Troubleshoot robot issues and escalate technical problems when necessary
• Coordinate with technicians and on-site personnel to recover robots or perform basic recovery procedures
• Perform basic diagnostics and maintenance on robots (training provided)
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate issues to engineering and operations teams
• Help ensure client properties remain clean and operational when robots require intervention
• Support other operational tasks as needed in a fast-paced startup environment
• Paid training provided - no prior robotics experience required. 

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work on a computer for a majority of the day
• Must be tech-savvy and understand how to use multiple different apps
• Must be able to multi-task
• Must be able to work with a team and with minimal supervision
• Must be able to lift heavy objects (20+ lbs.)
• Comfortable wearing multiple hats and adapting to changing priorities in a startup environment. 
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable making decisions independently after training
• Must have work authorization in the United States
• Not a remote position

Preferred (Not Required):

• Interest in robotics or technology
• Experience working with hand/power tools
• Experience with building and troubleshooting electronic/mechanical systems

Hours:

Pay: Starting at $21.00/hour

High-performing employees may become eligible to train for our T2 (Evening On-Call) role after approximately 4 months , increasing compensation to $24.00/hour upon successful completion of training and certification.

Employees who demonstrate strong performance may have the opportunity to train into our T2 (Evening On-Call) role after approximately 4 months . T2 Operators coordinate robot recoveries, assist remote teams, communicate with field technicians, and help lead overnight operations.

Successful completion of T2 training increases compensation from $21/hour to $24/hour and opens the door to additional advancement opportunities within Operations. This progression is based on performance, reliability, and successful completion of the required training.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Night shift
• Overnight shift
