Senior Accountant - Construction $80,000 – $110,000 per year | Miami Lakes, FL | On‑Site | Permanent A bit about us: We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent role in the construction industry, where you will play a pivotal part in our financial department. The successful candidate will have a solid background in accounting, preferably within the construction sector, and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our financial information and contributing to our financial goals and objectives. With your expertise in year‑end close, monthly reporting, and GL, you will be a key player in our financial operations. Perform regular financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Conduct month‑end and year‑end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Manage and reconcile GL accounts. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Assist in the development and implementation of accounting systems and internal control policies. Provide support for internal and external audits. Collaborate with other departments to improve financial efficiency and accuracy. Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. At least 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the construction industry. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Proven experience with year‑end close, monthly reporting, and GL. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
