Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Patient Liaison, you will serve as an advocate for patients and/or family members with complaints/grievance concerns regarding medical care and services provided. You will document concerns, track/trends and investigate all aspects of patient encounters including but not limited to medical care in order to facilitate the resolution of concerns and maximize patient and family satisfaction. You will organize and Chair the Patient and Family Advisory Council. You will attend daily MDRs and proactive rounds with patients to address potential concerns or issues.

• You will investigate, evaluate and conduct follow-up of patient concerns to determine appropriate resolutions
• You will plan, organize, direct and evaluate all Patient Relations activities

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• 3 years within hospital health care organizations or customer service-related field
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field (Nursing, Social Services, Case Management, Counseling, Health Administration, Patient Advocacy, or related field)

St. David's South Austin Medical Center, is a 368-bed acute care hospital within St. David's HealthCare, offering comprehensive specialty and sub-specialty services.
