Auto Body Technician

Finish Technician Full-Time | Manufacturing / Composites We're looking for a good, hardworking finish person to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on job. You'll be taking composite parts and getting them ready for the next step --- trimming, sanding, grinding, repairing, blending, and making sure the finished part is right before it leaves your hands. We need somebody who cares about the work they put out . If you see something that isn't right, you fix it or speak up. We don't want somebody who just does what they're told and sends a bad part down the line. What You'll Do - Trim fiberglass and composite parts to the required dimensions. - Sand, grind, blend, and finish composite surfaces. - Remove flash and excess material. - Perform basic composite repairs and cosmetic repairs. - Fill and correct surface imperfections. - Use pneumatic and electric hand tools safely and correctly. - Follow drawings, work instructions, and quality requirements. - Inspect your own work before turning a part over to the next operation. - Keep your tools and work area clean and organized. - Work at the pace required to keep production moving. - Communicate problems instead of letting them become somebody else's problem. - Help wherever needed to keep the department moving. What We Need From You We need somebody who: - Shows up and works. - Pays attention to the details. - Takes pride in what they build. - Can work without somebody standing over them all day. - Is willing to learn. - Can take direction and actually follow it. - Works well with the rest of the team. - Understands that quality matters just as much as getting the part done. - Can work efficiently without cutting corners. - Isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. You don't need to know everything coming in. We can teach you the process. What we can't teach as easily is work ethic, attention to detail, and wanting to do a good job. Experience That Helps Experience with any of the following is a plus: - Fiberglass or composite manufacturing - Automotive bodywork - Aerospace manufacturing - Sanding and finishing - Grinding and trimming - Pneumatic tools - Hand tools - Manufacturing or fabrication - Reading drawings or work instructions The Right Person You should be able to learn the process, understand what a good part looks like, and consistently produce it.
