DescriptionJob Summary:In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this individual contributor position is also responsible for all phases of the design and/or construction process of basic construction and/or refurbishment projects under guidance from more senior project managers; generally has up to $25 million in cumulative budget responsibility; defining project parameters in terms of time, money, physical objectives and outside constraints; coordinating the work of project team(s) comprised of facility personnel, project staff, general contractors, and internal/external consultants; working with team(s) in establishing scope, budget and schedule, and maintains such commitments through design, construction, and close-out processes; and ensuring KP goals for client service are continuously met through the design and construction process.This role is also responsible for supporting all design stages of medical and/or regional facilities, including making economic comparisons of development schemes and recommending options in conformance to master plan; negotiating fees, and reviewing consultant and contractor invoices and change orders; managing the timely procurement of all permits required by regulatory authorities; and supervising on-site design and/or construction teams, and communicating goals and program status with project team leadership.Essential Responsibilities:Pursues effective relationships with others by sharing resources, information, and knowledge with coworkers and members. Assists with project activities related to organizational change management (e.g., development and execution of user adoption, implementation, and training plans) as defined by the project. Allocates resources, establishes schedules, and makes task assignments.Leads the work of project team members with guidance from more senior project managers. Assists with the management of project sub-teams by ensuring assignment and tracking of tasks for team members. Requests internal or external resources to support completion of project activities and changes in schedule, scope, and budget. Promotes project vision and objectives with project team.Supports the management and proactive mitigation of project issues and risks by assisting in the analysis and resolution of trigger events.Supports policy and procedure adherence of project plans by following KP, departmental, and/or business line policies and procedures.Provides ongoing support to project personnel by regularly communicating with project team members to ensure schedule data and changes are accurately interpreted and accounted for. Works closely with key stakeholders.
