Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with strong orthopedic experience for a hospital OR position on a day shift schedule.

Details

• Hospital Surgical Services/OR department
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• May float within scope to sister facilities as needed
• On-call and weekend requirements to be discussed during interview
• Works across multiple specialties including ortho, general surgery, vascular, ENT, gynecology, neuro, ophthalmology, urology, and robotics

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months experience required, 2 years preferred
• Strong orthopedic surgery experience required
• BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross
• NBSTSA certification preferred, NCCT also accepted
• License required if applicable
• Charting system experience required (any system)
• One professional reference from a direct supervisor, ANM, or director in the specialty applying for is required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers accepted
• Floating to sister facilities within scope required
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate
• All RTO must be discussed during interview and submitted upfront; requests added later are unlikely to be approved
• Travelers expected to work every other holiday
• Facility is smoke and nicotine free; negative 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine (cotinine) test required
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required, with medical/religious exemptions only
• Time-sensitive training modules must be completed promptly once confirmed for the assignment
• EKG and pharmacology tests required during orientation, with a maximum of 2 attempts each and no remediation
• Permanent and per diem staff cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
