We are hiring Sanitation and Chemical Handlers to help maintain clean, safe, and sanitary production areas while properly handling cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment. Job Details

Location: Del Rey, CA

Position: Sanitation / Chemical Handlers

Pay: $17.00–$19.00 per hour

Shifts: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift

Employment Type: Seasonal

Overtime: Required as needed

Weekends: Required

Job Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, floors, work areas, and other facility surfaces
• Follow established sanitation and cleaning procedures
• Safely handle, measure, mix, and use approved cleaning and sanitation chemicals according to company procedures
• Read and follow chemical labels, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and safety instructions
• Properly store and label cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Operate cleaning and sanitation equipment safely
• Disassemble and clean equipment as required for sanitation
• Inspect work areas and equipment to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation
• Report spills, damaged equipment, chemical concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors
• Maintain accurate sanitation logs and documentation as required
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, quality, and workplace safety procedures
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintain a clean and organized chemical storage and sanitation area
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to complete sanitation activities
• Perform other sanitation, cleaning, and general labor duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous sanitation, janitorial, chemical handling, food processing, warehouse, manufacturing, or general labor experience is preferred but not required
• Previous experience handling cleaning chemicals is a plus
• Ability to safely work with cleaning and sanitation chemicals
• Ability to read and understand chemical labels and safety instructions
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to properly wear required PPE
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning and sanitation tasks
• Ability to work in wet areas and varying temperatures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
