Optometric Technician - Texas State Optical on Congress Ave in Austin TX Location: 2407 S Congress Ave Ste 100, Austin, TX 78704 Are you passionate about healthcare and ready to dive into the world of eye care? At Texas State Optical, our Mission is to Save Eyes & Spark Joy! We’re looking for a detail-oriented, patient-focused individual to join our team as an Optometric Technician I. Pay : $16-$18/hour with full benefits including PTO, paid holidays, insurance, 401k + match & so much more! Monday - Friday hours + Saturday hours (if work Saturday would be off 1 day during the week) What You’ll Be Doing: Support optometrists by performing pre-screening tests and assisting with exams Collect patient medical histories and explain vision benefits clearly and confidently Train patients on contact lens use and care Verify insurance, schedule appointments, and keep communication flowing smoothly Help coordinate patient flow and contribute to a seamless, high-quality experience Collaborate with your team to meet goals and deliver exceptional care What We’re Looking For: 1+ year of customer service experience (optometric or medical experience is a plus!)
