Senior Management Auditor Salary: $8,265.00 - $10,785.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired at the minimum salary of the classification or the minimum of the alternate range when applicable. Final Filing Date: 5/5/2026 Work Schedule: This position may be eligible for a hybrid schedule. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the department and may change as business needs arise. Job Description and Responsibilities The Employment Development Department's (EDD) Audit and Evaluation Division (A&ED) within the Labor Data and Compliance Branch provides opportunities to innovate and deliver value‑added auditing services. The Senior Management Auditor works under the general direction of the Audits, Risk Management, and Survey Research Section Chief to manage, organize, and supervise a team of audit supervisors and staff responsible for audit and evaluation assignments as well as external audit coordination functions. The role requires conducting independent, objective, and risk‑based audits, evaluations, consultations, advisory services, and external audit coordination to strengthen EDD programs and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and standards. Desirable Qualifications Experience and/or ability in strong project management, strategic leadership, organizational, conflict resolution and decision‑making skills. Experience and/or ability in being flexible and adaptable in managing multiple audits, balancing workloads, and handling competing priorities. Experience and/or ability to provide innovative solutions to complex audit and/or operational challenges. Experience and/or ability to coordinate and ensure collaboration between external auditors and internal stakeholders.
