Senior Medical Science Liaison, NMOSD & gMG-Rare Disease - NY

Senior Medical Science Liaison position at Amgen focused on NMOSD and gMG rare disease areas, based in New York covering NYC and Long Island. The role involves building relationships with medical experts, communicating scientific information, and supporting clinical research initiatives across the northeastern territory.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with medical thought leaders, academic institutions, and managed care decision makers
• Communicate scientific, medical, and commercial information about products to healthcare community and internal teams
• Identify and pair customer unmet needs with internal resources and support
• Evaluate external clinical research collaboration opportunities and facilitate investigator-initiated trials
• Monitor competitive landscape for therapeutic advances, new treatments, and competitor activities; report findings to senior leadership

Requirements

• Doctorate degree with 2+ years medical affairs experience, OR Master's with 6+ years, OR Bachelor's with 8+ years
• PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO preferred
• 2+ years as medical science liaison in biotech or pharmaceutical company
• Exceptional oral and written communication and networking skills
• Ability to travel up to 60% for territory management and conferences
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new business applications
• Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
