El Dorado Kitchen is hiring a part-time Food Runner to join our team! Weekend and holiday availability is required, experience is preferred but we're willing to train the right candidate! WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A FOOD RUNNER Ensure that all food, when ready to sell, is sold in correct order with correct garnishes; build trays by correct seat number. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: General Preparation Set up workstation with required mise en place, tools, equipment and supplies according to standards. Inspect the cleanliness and working condition of all tools, equipment and supplies. Ensure everything complies with standards. Check production schedule and pars. Establish priority items for the day. Inform the Chef/Sous Chef of any supplies that need to be requisitioned for the day's tasks. Meet with Chef/Sous Chef to review assignments, anticipated business levels, changes and other information pertinent to the job performance. Follow maintenance program and cleaning schedule. Report any damages, maintenance problems or safety hazards to the supervisor. Restock plates and all prepped garnishes ready for service. REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: Ability to: Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy. Prioritize, organize, and follow through. Be a clear thinker, remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment. Work well under pressure of meeting production schedules and timeliness. Maintain good coordination. Use all senses to ensure quality standards are met. Differentiate dates. Perform job functions with minimal supervision. Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
