Referral Specialist - BH Grants

Referral Specialist The Referral Specialist's primary role is to provide excellent customer service to physicians and patients referred for appointments or services at or from Tampa General Hospital (or a related company). The referrals specialist assists patients and providers with scheduling provider-referred appointments within the health system or facilitating connections to outside groups at provider direction or based upon patient preference. The referral specialist obtains or facilitates authorizations and may support the practice with non-referral work including patient registration, appointment scheduling, and check-in/out if working in a clinic. What you will do: Process & track patient referrals Facilitate transfer of medical records Identify and route patient appointment information to correct recipient Create, modify, and cancel appointments Obtain authorizations and/or referrals as required Correspond with providers and patients Index faxes Qualifications: Education Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Experience Qualifications: 2 years of customer service experience in healthcare Primary Location: Tampa Work Locations: TGH Main Campus 1 Tampa General Circle Tampa 33601 Eligible for Remote Work: On Site Job: Office/Administrative/Clerical Organization: Florida Health Sciences Center Tampa General Hospital Shift: Day Job Job Type: On Site Shift Hours: 8am-5pm Minimum Salary: 16.39 Tampa General Hospital
