Fitness Director/Head Coach Orangetheory Fitness East Nashville

As the Head Coach at Orangetheory Fitness , you will be the cultural heart and fitness leader of an established, independently-owned studio . You will split your time between delivering our signature high-energy workouts, managing your team of established and experienced OTF coaches, focusing on member engagement and driving membership sales.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely and collaborate with a local owner who values community, personal connections, and offering OTF to under-served communities and cohorts.

Key Responsibilities
 
Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of established fitness coaches, helping them refine their skills and stay motivated.

• Manage coach scheduling ensuring full class coverage and managing time-off requests.

• Conduct regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to keep class quality consistently high.

• Organize monthly team meetings to review corporate updates, share coaching tips, and celebrate studio wins.

• Ensure all coaches keep their required certifications and CPR/AED credentials up to date.

Workout Delivery & Member Community

• Coach 12 classes per week, leading by example with exceptional energy, timing, and form correction.

• Administrative hours, on average of 10-12 hours per week will include member outreach, one-on-one consultations with members and additional calls to ensure member satisfaction and engagement.

• Cultivate deep relationships with our existing member community, greeting them by name and celebrating their milestones.

• Help drive member retention by creating an energetic, welcoming environment that members look forward to visiting every day.

• Support local community outreach, charity workouts, and studio events to keep our local brand presence strong.

Studio Operations & Maintenance

• Oversee the safety and cleanliness of the fitness floor, ensuring rowers, treadmills, and weights are well-maintained.

• Troubleshoot studio technology, including the OTConnect screens, heart-rate monitoring systems, and audio equipment.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:
 

• OTF Experience: 2+ years of experience coaching group fitness or personal training. Prior leadership, head coach, or assistant head coach experience is highly preferred.

• Certification: Must hold a current, NCCA-accredited fitness certification approved by Orangetheory Fitness (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, AFAA, NSCA, or NCSF ).

• Safety: Must hold an active and current CPR/AED certification .

• Brand Training: Must successfully complete the official OTFit Certification Process upon hire.
