OpenShift System Engineer

Optomi, in partnership with one of our premier clients, is seeking a highly skilled Remote Principal Systems Engineer with expertise in OpenShift, DevOps, and F5. This position requires an adaptable, self-driven individual who can provide high-level technical and operational support for our cloud-native infrastructure, managing complex systems, ensuring seamless integration and performance, and supporting ongoing updates across the cloud environment. This role involves a high degree of responsibility, requiring the ability to prioritize tasks, assess risks, and work both independently and with minimal oversight. What the right candidate will have Extensive experience with OpenShift: Proven ability to architect, manage, and optimize OpenShift environments, ensuring high availability and scalability. Expertise in F5 load balancing: Deep knowledge of F5 configurations and its role in managing application traffic and ensuring security and performance. Cloud-native system engineering: Experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-native solutions, including server management, security, and automation. Infrastructure automation: Strong background in developing automation scripts for monitoring system health, patch management, and security updates. Server administration & network configuration: Advanced proficiency in configuring and maintaining complex server systems, with a focus on reliability and optimization. Backup & disaster recovery: Experience designing and implementing comprehensive disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and uptime.
