Robot Technician

Reporting to the Shift Maintenance Supervisor and supported by the Robotics Engineer, the Robotic Technician Level I ensures proper operation and repair of robotic automation in a foundry/casting environment. Job Title Robot Technician Shift 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Responsibilities Provide general ABB robot troubleshooting. Adjust robot positions to meet quality requirements. Replace robot cabling as needed. Perform preventative maintenance on robot and controller. Perform preventative maintenance on EOATs including testing function. Identify opportunities to improve uptime and reduce costs through understanding downtime and implementation of preventative solutions for long term success. Observe and practice all applicable lockout/tagout requirements during all activities. Understand robotic and cell safety. Other duties as assigned. Academic / Educational Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. 1 year Robotic Tech experience in a manufacturing setting. Required Skills / Experience Prior robot programming experience is required. Must be self-motivated with an ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot. Must be able to read and understand work instructions. Ability to communicate with all levels within plant. Must possess mechanical, electrical and computer skills.
