Project Manager - Construction

Project ManagerAldevra is currently seeking a qualified Project Manager to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in Waco, TX. We are looking for someone who brings a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, clear communication, and a willingness to jump in where needed. The right person will also connect with Aldevra's core values of SOAR: Strong Integrity and Ethics, Outstanding Teamwork, Accountability-Driven, and Relentless Pursuit of Quality.This position is contingent upon contract award.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Work with the VISN, Health Care System, building occupants, architect-engineers (VHA hired designers), and construction contractors (VHA hired constructors)Represent VHA in a professional manner and provide sound management advice regarding work performed on assigned projectsAchieve the best value in the work being performed by controlling schedule and budgetProactive in helping to resolve problems and minimize claims taking all reasonable measures to anticipate problems and delays and to minimize or eliminate their adverse impact on project completionTake the initiative and act to mitigate circumstances that could lead to claims, resolve conflicts promptly, and keep the Government advised of any potential disputesExercise all due diligence, utilizing competent personnel within authorized limitations, to make certain that work is performed in conformity with applicable requirements (codes, regulations, standards, construction contract plans and specifications)Work with all stakeholders, including VHA authority having jurisdiction and compliance committees to de-conflict standards and develop consensus on appropriate solution to move project forwardContinuously review schedules and adjust based on the progress of work and make specific recommendations for prioritizing and accelerating critical path itemsFacilitate, manage and document all project meetings to keep stakeholders and integrated project team members informedManage construction and construction administration documents, correspondence, and as-builtsDeliverables include a project management plan, including the communication plan, schedule management plan, quality assurance plan, risk management plan, and Project Tracking Reports in the VHA Capital Assets databaseAll other duties as assigned.About UsAldevra was founded in 2009 by current President & CEO Rodney Marshall, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and minority entrepreneur.
