Assist in determining the suitability of donors Establish rapport with donors to ensure customer happiness and donor confidentiality Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment Work in a plasma center while following occupational safety and protective-equipment requirements Requirements Superior customer service standards High School diploma or GED Ability to work a flexible schedule Interest in making a difference in the world Obtain required state licensures or certifications where applicable Patient and reliable approach to donor care Exposure to biological fluids and potentially infectious organisms Ability to stand for 6 to 8 hours per day Ability to bend and twist the neck and waist for 1-2 hours per day Frequent hand movement and precise coordinated finger, hand, and wrist movements Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
