Pantry Cook - Austin
SAGE Dining Services is looking for a talented Prep Cook, Garde Manger, or Pantry Cook to join our culinary team in Austin! If you're self-motivated, passionate about food, and bring a strong can-do attitude, we'd love to meet you.
Work at a picturesque private school in West Austin with beautiful river views, conveniently located off Highway 360. You'll enjoy a full-time 40-hour workweek, plus plenty of overtime opportunities through school catering events.
This is your chance to get creative in the kitchen, explore international cuisines, and help craft menus that introduce our community to new flavors and culinary experiences every day.
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
- 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Occasional catering events
- Summers off
Pay Type:
$21.00 Hourly

What you'll do:
- Prepare assigned menu items in strict accordance with SAGE recipes, safety, and allergen policies that exceed our guests' expectations.
- Ensure that all food is appropriately displayed and visually appealing.
- Interact positively with SAGE guests and Team Members.
- Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques (HAACP).
What you'll need:
- Experience with cooking in a commercial kitchen.
- Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in English.
- Ability to interact with SAGE guests and Team Members in a professional and positive manner.
