Geriatrics Nurse Practitioner

Provides diagnosis and treatment of patients within the scope of practice as defined by all applicable Federal, State and local laws, regulations, protocols, etc. and within the individual Advanced Practice Provider's (APP) particular clinical specialty area, licensure and competency level. Performs acts of medical diagnosis or prescription of medical therapeutic or corrective measures as appropriate.

• Seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) ? Adult?Gerontology NP (AGNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
• Monday?Friday schedule with flexible hours supporting strong work?life balance
• Shared call rotation with provider team:
  • One weekday night per week
  • Every sixth weekend
• Practice located at Genesis Inners Creek, a 202?bed skilled nursing facility in Dallastown, PA
• Currently supports 110 WellSpan patients (short?term rehab & long?term care)
• Join an established, collaborative care team:
  • 2 Physicians
  • 3 Nurse Practitioners
• Provide clinical directorship and comprehensive clinical services in a skilled nursing facility setting
• Ideal role for NPs interested in long?term care, rehabilitation medicine, geriatric care, and complex adult medicine
• Deliver primary care, chronic disease management, and patient?centered care to adult and geriatric populations
• APP plays a key role in daily patient management, regulatory compliance, timely assessments, and continuity of care

  Minimum Education:
  • Masters Degree Nurse Practitioner Required or
  • Bachelors Degree Physician Assistant Required
  • Masters Degree Physician Assistant Preferred
  Work Experience:
  • 1 year Required
  Licenses:
  • Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Physician Assistant Upon Hire Required and
  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required or
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Required
  Courses and Training:
  • BLS and/or ACLS as appropriate for the clinical role. Upon Hire Required and
  • Nurse Practitioner - board certified by American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Certification Upon Hire Required and
  • Nurse Practitioner - Completion of an accredited program for nurse practitioners Upon Hire Required or
