Job Summary:
The Radiology/Cardiology CT Technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures, primarily using Canon CT equipment. The role requires proficiency to operate independently, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images for patient care. The technologist must adhere to safety protocols and collaborate with healthcare providers to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities:
- Operate Canon CT equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Prepare patients for CT scans, including explaining procedures and positioning.
- Ensure image quality and patient safety during all imaging processes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Collaborate with radiologists and cardiologists to interpret imaging needs.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment as needed.
- ARRT certification preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficient in operating Canon CT imaging equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of CT imaging protocols and safety standards.
- Experience in both radiology and cardiology CT imaging.
- Additional certifications related to radiologic technology or cardiology imaging.
- No holidays, call, or weekend shifts required.
- Strict adherence to safety and operational protocols for CT imaging.
- Regular shifts without holiday, call, or weekend coverage.
- Shift times determined by department needs, with no requirement for on-call duties.
