Role Overview: The Product Manager for Chameleon is responsible for ensuring the platform remains stable, valuable, and commercially viable. This role partners closely with Engineering, Support, Sales, and cross-functional stakeholders to manage and prioritize the backlog, deliver the highest-value work, and ensure customer and business needs are balanced through disciplined product decision-making. This role is ideal for a Product Manager who thrives in optimization, operational excellence, and ROI-focused product management, rather than greenfield development.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Ownership & Backlog Management
  • Own and manage the product backlog for Chameleon, ensuring it is well-groomed, clearly prioritized, and aligned to business value
  • Evaluate and prioritize work based on customer impact, revenue opportunity, retention risk, operational efficiency, and technical health
  • Make informed tradeoffs to ensure the team is consistently working on the highest-value initiatives
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Serve as the primary product point of contact for Engineering, Support, Sales, and other stakeholders
  • Partner with Support to understand customer issues, identify patterns, and distinguish defects from feature or workflow gaps
  • Partner with Sales and Commercial teams to assess revenue opportunities, customer impact, and market needs
  • Translate stakeholder input into clear, actionable product requirements
• Delivery & Execution
  • Ensure high-value product work is delivered successfully and predictably
  • Write clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and user stories that enable efficient engineering execution
  • Identify and remove blockers that impede delivery, collaborating proactively across teams
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to continuously improve team effectiveness
• Product Strategy & Commercial Responsibility
  • Apply a disciplined, ROI-driven approach to product investment for a legacy platform
  • Balance maintenance, enhancements, and new opportunities to support customer retention, revenue continuity, and operational viability
  • Contribute to roadmap planning and lifecycle decisions, ensuring transparency and alignment with company strategy
• Customer & Business Outcomes
  • Ensure Chameleon continues to deliver a reliable, high-quality customer experience
  • Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and operational metrics
  • Advocate for improvements that meaningfully reduce friction, improve usability, or unlock commercial value

Qualifications & Experience

• 6+ years of Product Management experience
• Experience managing established or legacy platforms preferred
• Strong backlog prioritization and decision-making skills
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Support, and Commercial teams
• Comfort making tradeoffs in constrained environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Experience in SaaS, healthcare, veterinary, or regulated environments a plus
