Commercial Lines Account Manager

Job Summary Acrisure is seeking an Account Manager to join our growing team in small to middle market commercial lines in our Austin, TX office. Responsibilities Assists clients with coverage changes in an automated environment supported by an imaging system; determines whether delayed or advanced billing is appropriate and invoices accordingly. Uses each client contact as an opportunity to review the entire account and round it out. Informs and educates clients about policy coverage, changes, exclusions and insurance coverage needs. Provides technical support to producers to benefit clients and help the agency reach its strategic business goals. Obtains client signatures on applications as necessary and follows up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies. Manages clients' needs by producing binders, certificates, policies, endorsements and other related items; verifies their accuracy. Prepares summaries of insurance, schedules and proposals as needed for account review. Maintains and updates electronic and client activity files. Verifies policy and policy change information, facilitating corrections when necessary. Processes incoming mail requests and responds promptly and appropriately. Verifies accuracy of all directly billed cancellations and takes appropriate corrective action when needed. Uses agency credit and collection policy in invoicing and pursues prompt payments. Processes and follows up on cancellation requests to carriers to ensure accurate and timely resolution; maintains the agency in financial equity whenever possible. Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities. Maintains a cordial and effective relationship with clients, co‑workers and other business contacts. Keeps informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverage changes and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance. Interacts with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating purposefully and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the agency’s business goals. Performs technical tasks to expedite client services. Other duties may be assigned as needed. This description is not intended as a contract and is subject to change. Education and Experience Requirements Five (5) or more years Commercial Lines Account Manager experience preferred; 3+ years will be considered. Must have an active P&C license. Experience using Applied Epic is required. Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership and cross‑functional partnership.
