Our Pharmacists ensure the accurate delivery of pharmaceutical care services, which include drug therapy monitoring, patient education, drug information and chronic disease state management for our clinical programs.We offer a competitive benefit package which includes, but is not limited to, Paid Time Off, 10 holidays per year, health/dental/vision insurance, employee discounted stock purchase program, 401K, and a generous employee discount at all CVS stores.Join CVS Health... where "Health is Everything!"Primary Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesReviews and interprets specialty medication orders, ensuring accuracy, appropriateness, and adherence to treatment guidelines.Establishes specialized patient counseling and education on the proper administration, potential side effects, and therapeutic goals of specialty medications.Confers with healthcare providers and insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations and facilitate reimbursement for specialty medications.Conducts most complex medication assessments, identifying drug interactions, contraindications, and potential medication-related problems specific to specialty medications.Assesses patient response to specialty medications, evaluating therapeutic outcomes and adjusting treatment plans.Educates healthcare providers on specialty medications, dosing, drug interactions, and alternative therapies.Integrates with the multidisciplinary care teams, providing clinical recommendations and contributing to treatment decisions for patients requiring specialty medications.Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and safety protocols in the handling, storage, and dispensing of specialty medications.Stays updated on the latest research, guidelines, and advancements in specialty pharmacy practice, incorporating new knowledge into patient care.Required QualificationsCurrent Pharmacist License in good standing in State of Texas.Reside in the State of Texas within commutable distance of Flower Mound, TX.Six months pharmacy experience.Six months work experience with Windows-based applications like Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications.Ability to work approximately 75% from home and 25% onsite.Shift 1: Four 10-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with one onsite Saturday every two weeks from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.Shift 2: Monday through Friday on a rotating schedule between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., with one onsite Friday every two weeks from 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.Preferred QualificationsLicenses in other states desirable.Pref Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions.Advanced problem solving and decision making skills.Advanced knowledge of medical terminology.Advanced collaboration and teamwork skills.Advanced growth mindset skills (agility and developing yourself and others).Advanced skills in execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting).Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate option.Advanced digital literacy skills.EducationBachelor's / Pharm D degree in PharmacyAnticipated Weekly Hours40Time TypeFull timePay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$50.48 - $84.62This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
