Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified individual to join our team in the Labor and Delivery department. The position is for a Night Shift, 3x12-Hour schedule (19:00 - 07:00) with a focus on providing exceptional care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and assess patients in the Labor and Delivery unit.
• Utilize external fetal monitoring to recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Assist in the care and monitoring of both neonates and adults.
• Float to the Mother-Baby Unit as necessary to meet facility needs.

Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years with charge nurse experience preferred.
• Certifications Required:
  
  
  • BCLS
  • Basic AWHONN
• Patient Ratios: 1:1-2
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
• Shift Details: Must be available for night shifts with the possibility of weekend coverage.

• Type of Facility: Short-Term Acute Care, Level IV Trauma
• Total Staffed Beds: 107
• Daily Census: 120-150 BPM
• Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adults

Additional Notes

The ideal candidate will be able to provide high-quality care and support to patients during a critical time. Familiarity with Community Hospital's charting system is preferred. Flexible scheduling and the ability to float within the Mother-Baby Unit are integral to this role.
