Job Duties for Quality Technician :

• Responsible for quality of the parts made on designated shift
• Maintain the highest quality work to continuously ensure customer satisfaction
• Assist in training Press Operators
• Assures operators have read, understand and signed Daily Work Instructions
• Assures that obsolete instructions at workstations are removed
• Assures that operators are placing labels on boxes correctly
• Approve and initial production parts prior to production start-up (Dimensional, aesthetic, color, packaging, labeling, etc.)
• Ensure boundary samples are made and are at operator workstation and that operators are familiar with them
• Communicate and work with Process Technicians and Supervisors to ensure that high quality parts are produced
• Perform and document SPC data collection including charting
• Inspect product both on and off the line
• Perform and document gauge R&R
• Travel to customer location and perform rework and sorting as needed
• Assist in gathering, documenting, and approving 1st piece/last piece
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications for Quality Technician :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous Quality experience
• Ability to stand and/or walk for duration of shift (12 hours shifts as scheduled)
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to move parts from one location to another as needed
• Ability to work 12 hours per day, and 42 hours a week as scheduled
• Ability to work with detailed visual information
• Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
