Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Accounting Hub Cloud Service (AHCS) and Fusion GL Functional SME to support the design, configuration, and implementation of an enterprise Accounting Rules Engine and Oracle Financials GL platform. The consultant will work closely with Finance, Controllers, Accounting Policy, and IT teams to define accounting requirements, configure accounting rules, design enterprise accounting processes, and support reporting and reconciliation capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have deep functional expertise in Oracle Accounting Hub, Oracle Fusion General Ledger, financial accounting processes, and enterprise finance transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle Fusion General Ledger

•Lead Global Foundation and Enterprise Structure design activities.

•Define and optimize General Ledger business processes and operating models.

•Design and configure:

oChart of Accounts structures

oLegal Entities

oLedgers and Ledger Sets

oBusiness Units

oBalancing Segments

•Design and support end-to-end financial process flows.

•Configure and support:

oIntercompany Accounting

oAllocation Rules

oForeign Currency Revaluation

oPeriod-End Close Processes

•Partner with Finance and Controllers teams to align accounting requirements with system capabilities.

Oracle Accounting Hub Cloud Service (AHCS)

•Design and configure Event-Based Accounting Rules.

•Design and configure Pass-Through Accounting Rules.

•Define accounting events, accounting treatments, journal generation logic, and account derivation rules.

•Design accounting and reconciliation data models.

•Define source-system accounting requirements and mapping specifications.

•Support onboarding of multiple source systems into Accounting Hub.

•Ensure compliance with accounting policies, governance, audit, and control requirements.

•Support reconciliation between source systems, AHCS, and General Ledger.

Banking and Financial Services Processes

•Analyze and document banking business processes and accounting requirements.

•Design accounting treatments for banking products and transactions.

•Support finance transformation initiatives involving regulatory and management reporting requirements.

•Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate financial and operational reporting.

Reporting and Analytics

•Design and support reporting solutions using:

oOracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI)

oFinancial Data Intelligence (FDI)

oOracle SmartView

•Develop financial, accounting, reconciliation, and management reports.

•Support ad hoc reporting and analytical requirements for Finance and Controllers teams.

Testing and Deployment Support

•Participate in requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, and system configuration.

•Support SIT, UAT, and production deployment activities.

•Validate accounting results, journal entries, and reconciliation outputs.

•Troubleshoot functional issues and support defect resolution.

•Provide end-user training and knowledge transfer.

Required Qualifications

•8+ years of Oracle Financials implementation experience.

•5+ years of hands-on Oracle Accounting Hub (AHCS) experience.

•Strong expertise in Oracle Fusion General Ledger.

•Experience configuring Event-Based and Pass-Through Accounting in AHCS.

•Experience designing and implementing:

•Strong knowledge of accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting processes.

•Experience working with Finance, Controllers, and Accounting teams.

Preferred Qualifications

•Experience in Banking or Financial Services industries.

•Experience with large-scale Finance Transformation programs.

•Experience integrating multiple source systems with Oracle Accounting Hub.

•Knowledge of regulatory, audit, and SOX compliance requirements.

•Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP Cloud implementations.
