SunPol Solar is hiring an experienced solar sales representative to work with company-provided leads and scheduled homeowner appointments. Your focus will be preparing for consultations, presenting proposals, following up, and closing sales.

You'll work directly with the owner during onboarding and learn SunPol's products, proposal tools, and sales process. We're looking for someone who already knows solar sales, communicates clearly, and takes responsibility for moving opportunities forward.

This is an office-based position in Newington, not a remote role. Most consultations take place over the phone, with occasional travel to customers' homes in Connecticut.

What you'll do

Work company-provided leads and conduct scheduled homeowner consultations.

Make calls, confirm appointments, and follow up with homeowners who need more information or time to decide.

Collect electric bills and understand each homeowner's energy usage, goals, and concerns.

Prepare and present solar proposals, explain financing options, handle objections, and guide homeowners through the agreement process.

Keep accurate notes, deal stages, and follow-up tasks in Zoho CRM.

Attend occasional in-home consultations and hand off complete project information to the operations team.

Develop additional opportunities through referrals and your own network.

Meet clear monthly sales targets while representing SunPol honestly and professionally.

Requirements

Previous solar sales experience is required. General sales experience alone does not meet this requirement.

Experience presenting solar proposals, explaining financing options, handling homeowner objections, and closing solar sales.

Confidence conducting consultations over the phone and asking for the sale without pressuring customers.

Strong follow-up habits, organization, and the ability to manage your pipeline without constant reminders.

Comfort using a CRM and learning proposal software.

Ability to work from our Newington office five days per week and travel to occasional customer appointments in Connecticut.

Must hold or obtain any Connecticut salesperson registration required for this role before performing regulated sales activities.

Schedule

Evening availability is required. Homeowner consultations generally begin at 11:00 a.m., and the last appointment may start at 7:00 p.m. Working hours must allow time to complete consultations, follow-up, and applicable business travel. Your weekly schedule will be agreed before your start date.
