Our team works extensively with QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Lacerte Tax Preparation software , and we are seeking an Experienced Tax Preparer / Staff Accountant who is comfortable working with these platforms while supporting a diverse portfolio of individual and business clients. This is a full‐time, in‐office role ideal for candidates who thrive in a collaborative, detail‐driven environment.

 

What You’ll Do

Tax Preparation (Primary Focus)

• Prepare tax returns for Individuals, Corporations, S‐Corps, LLCs, and Partnerships

• Review prepared returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance

• Respond to tax notices and communicate with clients professionally

• Provide proactive tax planning and strategic recommendations

• Manage multiple client engagements, deadlines, and priorities

• Utilize Lacerte Tax Preparation software for return preparation and review

• Bonus: Experience with Non‐Profit, Estate, or Trust returns

 

Accounting Support (Secondary Focus)

• Perform reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online

• Prepare financial statements; assist with payroll and sales tax filings

• Review financials for consistency and accuracy

• Support clients with bookkeeping and compliance needs

 

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation and accounting

• Proven ability to lead tax review and manage client projects independently

• EA or CTEC‐Registered Tax Preparer preferred

• Lacerte Tax Preparation experience a plus

• Strong communication, organization, and client‐service skills

• Spanish bilingual ability a plus
