Registered Nurse First Assistant, Operating Room

RN First AssistantThe RN First Assistant (RNFA) renders direct patient care as part of the perioperative role by assisting the surgeon in the surgical treatment of the patient. The responsibility of functioning as first assistant must be based on documented knowledge and skills acquired after specialized preparation, formal instruction and supervised practice.This per diem RNFA position includes required participation in call coverage to support emergency surgical needs, including stat C sections for rural hospital. The RNFA must be able to respond within 30 minutes when activated and will be scheduled for call one to three nights per week from 1715 to 0645 and one weekend per month from Friday at 1715 through Monday at 0645.
