Account Manager / Specialty Account Manager – Rare Disease What You Will Do In this vital role you will be responsible for representing UPLIZNA to physicians and health‑care professionals, establishing product sales, and performing total territory account management. Develop a comprehensive and effective territory business plan aimed at achieving and exceeding annual sales goals. Promote UPLIZNA within approved labeling in a comprehensive, fair, and ethical manner consistent with industry and corporate guidelines. Address issues related to access, pull‑through, and reimbursement by coordinating with key stakeholders and matrix team members. Develop strong customer relationships by better understanding customers’ needs and goals and communicating those needs and goals to other team members. Consistently meet or exceed corporate sales goals. Communicate territory activity accurately and timely as directed by management. Drive product demand among targets through education on disease state and product information. Provide feedback to sales and business unit leadership, colleagues, and other internal departments about changing environment and results. Adhere to the Company’s compliance policies and guidelines, including the PhRMA code. Work closely with patient services and market access team members to achieve overall business goals. Coordinate between accounts and relevant field teams to support full range of account needs. Educate healthcare professionals and office staff on site‑of‑care options. Attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed. Manage efforts within assigned promotional and operational budget. Maximize use of approved resources to achieve territory and account level goals. Successfully complete all Company training classes. Complete administrative duties accurately and timely. Function as a contributing member of a high‑performance team. Perform such other tasks and responsibilities as requested by the Company. What We Expect Of You The Specialty Account Manager we seek is a motivated professional who brings the required education, experience, and a passion for serving patients. Basic Qualifications (Account Manager Level 4) Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry, or hospital sales. Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry, or hospital sales. High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry, or hospital sales. Basic Qualifications (Specialty Account Manager Level 5) Doctorate degree and 2 years of collective account management experience, sales, and commercial experience. Master’s degree and 6 years of collective account management experience, sales, and commercial experience. Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of collective account management experience, sales, and commercial experience. Associate degree and 10 years of collective account management experience, sales, and commercial experience. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated success in reimbursement navigation, site‑of‑care education, and/or patient access coordination. Experience promoting a product requiring coordination with office staff, infusion centers, and patient services teams. Proven ability to build strong customer relationships, educate on complex disease states, and adapt communication to diverse audiences. Buy‑and‑bill or biologic/infusion experience with documented success. Sales experience in Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Hematology, Neurology, and/or rare/specialty disease states. Site‑of‑care and reimbursement experience. Experience working with institutions and integrated delivery networks. Pharma account management selling experience essential; must coordinate across field teams. Approximately 80% travel, including overnight and weekend commitments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Professional, proactive demeanor and strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. What You Can Expect Of Us The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is Account Manager Level 4 $154,736 – $183,900 and Specialty Account Manager Level 5 $160,397 – $190,628.
