Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (42.5 hours per coverage week); call coverage 4:30 PM – 8:00 AM weekdays
Coverage Dates: Jun 15–19; Jul 6–10; Aug 3–7; Sep 7–11; Oct 5–9 (one week per month; flexible on specific dates)
Duration: June through October 2026 (5 coverage weeks across 5 months); extension opportunities possible

About the Role

ShareSTAFF is hiring a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist for a high-priority locum tenens assignment at a nationally recognized Level 1 trauma center and transplant center in the Louisville, Kentucky metro area. This is a solo-coverage, 100% IR position supporting a high-acuity facility with complex IR case volumes.

Coverage is scheduled one week per month across five months (June through October 2026), with flexibility on exact dates. Each coverage week runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (8.5-hour shifts), with call coverage from 4:30 PM to 8:00 AM. The facility uses McKesson PACS and PowerScribe voice recognition; support staff is on-site.

Target volume is 40 wRVUs per shift. The environment includes complex IR procedures consistent with a transplant center and Level 1 trauma designation. This is an established facility with fully equipped IR suites, trained support staff, and a streamlined onboarding process. Interview is typically a single video call.

What You'll Do

• Perform complex interventional radiology procedures at a Level 1 trauma and transplant center, targeting 40 wRVUs per shift
• Provide solo IR coverage Monday through Friday during assigned coverage weeks; carry call from 4:30 PM to 8:00 AM
• Interpret and act on imaging findings relevant to IR-guided interventions using McKesson PACS
• Document all procedures and findings using PowerScribe voice recognition in compliance with facility standards
• Collaborate with trauma surgery, transplant surgery, oncology, and multidisciplinary clinical teams
• Ensure timely procedural turnaround in support of high-acuity inpatient and emergent case demand
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, credentialing requirements, and applicable regulatory standards

What You Bring - Required

• Active, unrestricted Kentucky (KY) medical license, or eligibility to obtain via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) prior to assignment start
• Board Certification in Radiology with IR fellowship training or demonstrated IR procedural competency
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Experience performing complex IR procedures independently, including those in high-acuity trauma and transplant settings
• Full-time availability for each assigned coverage week (5-day Monday through Friday commitment per scheduled week)
• Must be able to complete client-specific pre-placement requirements

What You Bring - Preferred

• RSNA or SIR membership; subspecialty IR fellowship training (ESIR or independent IR fellowship)
• Experience practicing at a Level 1 trauma center, transplant center, or comparable academic health system
• Proficiency with McKesson PACS and PowerScribe voice recognition
• Prior locum tenens experience in interventional radiology
• Availability for extended or recurring monthly coverage across the full contract window
• KY license in process (licensing-candidate consideration available)
