Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:

Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for delivering professional nursing care to patients with acute, chronic, or convalescent conditions. Focuses on patient assessment, treatment, and education to promote health and prevent illness within a Medical Surgical setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' conditions and develop individualized care plans based on age, diagnosis, and overall health needs.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, charge nurses, and care team members regarding changes in patient status.
• Respond promptly and accurately to fluctuations in patient clinical condition or response to treatments.
• Administer medications following the Five Medication Rights to minimize medication errors.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care as appropriate.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and in accordance with standards and policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active and valid RN license.
• Demonstrate clinical experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
• Possess strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Show excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and team members.
• Ability to adapt care based on patient age, diagnosis, and individual needs.
