Role Purpose We are seeking an R&D Fiber Technician to support flame hydrolysis (OVD) and fiber research projects in a dynamic laboratory environment. In this role, you will partner with scientists to support process development, build and maintain lab-scale tools, conduct experiments, analyze data, and help solve technical challenges related to fiber processes. Key Responsibilities Support scientists in solving fiber research and process challenges Conduct hands-on laboratory experiments and proof-of-concept testing Help improve existing processes and evaluate new process capabilities Collect, document, and analyze process data using statistical methods Maintain laboratory spaces, process equipment, and materials Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify issues and support solutions Communicate project updates and findings to the team Document work clearly and contribute to intellectual property efforts as appropriate Experiences/Education - Required Experience working in a laboratory or experimental environment Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced research setting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and graphing Comfort working with a variety of lab equipment Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to learn new technologies and processes quickly Mechanical aptitude and equipment familiarity Ability to work independently and learn quickly Strong relationship-building skills across teams General knowledge of business systems and organizational processes This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is$58,411.00-$80,316.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
