Rental Sales Management Trainee

Job Summary As a Rental Manager Trainee at Ryder, you will participate in a rotational training program that covers key operational, administrative, and sales functions across the company. The program is designed to be completed in 18–24 months, with the possibility of acceleration to as little as 12 months. You will work closely with location and regional management teams to build relationships, generate business leads, and support one of the largest fleet management operations in North America. Essential Functions Handle inbound and outbound sales calls and solicitations. Maintain accurate data within the company's marketing database. Generate rental, lease, and used vehicle sales leads. Manage all rental asset processes, including vehicle PM and cleanliness standards. Execute sales and marketing initiatives to meet overall Ryder market share objectives. Ensure compliance with all relevant company, local, state, federal, and regulatory requirements. Reconcile customer concerns, issues, and disputes to maintain and grow the customer base. Additional Responsibilities Serve as an On‑Call Representative on a voluntary basis as required by the supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned. High energy, self‑motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships across all levels of the organization. Detail oriented with strong follow‑up practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Common sense and aptitude for rapid learning. Must be willing to relocate within the region/US upon program completion. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field. Customer service experience of one year or more with issue resolution preferred. Intermediate computer literacy. No travel required. No DOT regulation. Compensation and Benefits The base salary for this role ranges from $56,000 to $58,000 annually. In addition, candidates may be eligible for an annual bonus, commission, and/or long‑term incentive plan based on performance.
